I'm still not maxed out on my Procrastinators Unite...Tomorrow Black Card, but I am reaching that imaginary spending limit that I at some point imagined having established. It's not the easiest recipe to translate; the destination language also doesn't provide the most facile of translational paths. I come bearing more Excel tablets nonetheless:

As a somewhat less-than-orgulous black card holder of the Procrastinators Unite...Tomorrow Club, I less-than-happily report that the progress that was made today in completing the translation of the cookie recipe is the same as that which was made yesterday: 0%. Compensating in some wholly non-tangential way are 100 new characters for the aid in my re-retention:

I have stopped mid- (or what I'm hoping to be mid-)translation of the recipe to the cookies that I made because of these little Excel-made posters, which are hopefully to aid me in re-retention and recall:

Amongst the myriad American bloggers incensed by the turnout from the elections and the way their compeers did or did not vote, I have come to post insouciantly and mostly in a language/languages that many within the aforementioned set would not understand. :D

With American elections coming up, and the Brazilian election just ending, I have returned not to sway your votes or undermine your values, but to go about presenting to you these products of my confectional ingeniousness. :)

I come tonight to bear what I foresee as the last pod-based jpg (at least for a while). It is certainly not to be the last of my drawings, but I am to embark on a less time-guzzling task that contains more characters, as many have been sprinting from my memory unit by what seems to be the hundreds. In addition, I already am quasi-obligated to another time-guzzling task (and there's only room for one): purging the disutilities from what is supposed to be my social utility.

While such things as Dear Leader making a rare public appearance with presumed heir Kim Jong-eun, Brazilian presidential elections, fires and explosions aboard ships in Danish waters, and national speeches by Taiwan's President are happening, where am I?

Sitting here, molting, ensconced from any place I'd like to be right now.

I am a terrible blog maintainer.

In the near month-and-a-half that has passed between this post and the last, hordes of Chinese characters and vocabulary from other languages have entered and seeped out of my "memory barrier". Fortunately, some have become more of permanent fixtures in my long-term memory; others have wandered into the even less-chartered territory that is the rest of my brain.

Also having occurred in the past month-and-a-half was the laptop scare. For nearly half of last month, I was under the impression that my laptop was comatose--if not dead. After much useless reasearch--and after plenteous trials and errors, safe and perilsome--my laptop, by the grace of God, started working again. It epitomizes the "ghetto laptop" at the moment but, thanks be to God, it is operating.

To express my gratefulness (two weeks late), I come bearing a jpg of hanzi learned in ye olde times of July:

Only five days later, I come bearing another gift.

Friday, August 20, 2010

Interstice upon interstice of time between my posts has been duly noted--as well as the divagators and divagatrices of Blogger.com, whose sojourns in the walls of this little pink-walled bloggal microcosm have been archived. I see that some have also come to take up a second/third/867th abode in this poorly maintained pink-walled blog. :O

I'm still here!
